How much of my vet bill will be covered?
You can choose to receive either up to 80% or up to 100% back on eligible vet bills after you pay the applicable excess. Your selected choice of excess applies for accidents and illnesses.

The total amount payable is up to the policy limit or any sub-limit. Please refer PDS or your policy schedule for more information.
How long is the waiting period before I can make a claim?
There is a 2 day waiting period for most Accidental Injuries and a 21 day waiting period for Illnesses; with the following exceptions:
- There are no waiting periods for Accidental injuries arising from Anaphylactic shock, Burn or Electrocution, Motor Vehicle Accidents or Snake Bite Toxicity
- No Waiting periods for optional Routine Care Lite or Routine Care Plus covers
- 21 day waiting period for the included additional benefit for Routine checkup
- 6 month waiting period for Cruciate Ligament Conditions
- 6 month waiting period for optional Dental cover
Conditions arising in the waiting period or before the policy starts, are not covered. Please refer to the PDS or your schedule if you are an existing Pet Insurance customer.
What is a pre-existing condition?
A pre-existing condition is an accident or illness that occurred before taking out the policy or within the waiting period, and that you or your vet were aware of or could have been reasonably aware of.
Accidents that have already occurred, ongoing illness and bilateral conditions will not be covered by our policies. Please refer to the PDS and TMDs for more information
Does my cover have any excess?
Yes, all our policies have an excess for Accident and Illness cover. There are no excesses payable for Routine Care optional cover and a $200 excess payable for the Dental optional cover. There are no excesses payable for the Death From Accidental Injury or Illness, Emergency Boarding and Pet Health and Wellness Checkup additional benefits, where these are included in your policy.

Are there any limits to how much I can claim?
All our policies have an aggregate limit, which is the total amount that you can claim per year.
Sub-limits apply for some illnesses, accidents, additional benefits and optional Routine care and optional Dental cover add-ons. This is the amount that you can claim per year for those specific illnesses.
