Nexgard for Dogs offers a comprehensive monthly treatment, effectively protecting dogs against fleas, ticks, mange, and mites. This beef-flavored chewable not only eliminates adult fleas and various types of ticks, including Paralysis, Brown dog, and bush ticks, but also controls the spread of new adult fleas. Its active ingredient, afoxolaner, acts as an ectoparasiticide, eradicating external parasites and preventing flea tapeworm infestations by rapidly targeting fleas, the primary intermediate host. Additionally, Nexgard Spectra expands this protection to include ear mites, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and even heartworm disease, offering a month-long shield against these parasites in a palatable oral form.
Usage Instructions:
Nexgard's dosage for dogs depends on the dog's weight, with a recommended dosage of 2.7-6.9 mg/Kg. Available in four distinct color-coded packs tailored to different weight ranges, the correct dosage can be determined by consulting the accompanying dosage table. For administration, the chewable tablet can be given directly to the dog or mixed with food if necessary. Ensure the dog finishes its meal to consume the full dosage. The treatment should be repeated monthly, ideally on the same date each month, to maintain its efficacy.
Precautions:
Nexgard should be stored out of reach of children and pets, and kept at temperatures below 30°C. If your pet has a history of epilepsy or seizures, consult a veterinarian before using Nexgard. Always follow the label for detailed instructions on administration, dosage, expiry, and precautions. While adverse reactions in hypersensitive pets are rare, symptoms like vomiting, appetite loss, lethargy, flaky skin, or diarrhea should prompt immediate veterinary consultation. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after administering the chewable. Nexgard should not be given to pets known to be allergic to any of its ingredients.
Suitable for: Dogs between 25.1kg to 50kg
